Training transformed my Life

For the past 8 years, I had led a life of poverty, working on the field, trying to make ends meet. I was barely able to make Rs. 20,000 per season, which is less than Rs. 2,000 per month. It was getting increasingly difficult to sustain a family of 6. One fine day, I heard about John Deere tractor training in Dharwad, and decided to give it a shot. While at the training centre, I learnt the operation and mechanics of tractor.

This particular training helped me obtain employment at Kumareshwara FPO, Hangal in the Custom Hiring Centre. This job helps me earn Rs. 9000 per month, which acts as additional income to what I earn from my own farm management.

My family couldn’t be happier! I am now able to send my children to school, something I struggled to do earlier. My sincere gratitude to John Deere and the ISAP team!”

From aimless wanderer to employed young man

I was confused about my future, didn’t have any ambitions or goals in life, and was generally an aimless wanderer. Owing to this, I was quite obviously penniless and had no earnings. I was under a lot of stress because of my family’s pressures and also the taunts and opinions of fellow villagers.

I did have some inkling about the tractor industry, but no professional training. At this point I just wanted a job, any job. Luckily, I came in touch with the ISAP officials and joined the John Deere Tractor Operating Training Program. While at the training centre, I was greatly inspired by the personality development class. It helped change my lax attitude into a motivated one. I also learnt a great deal about the automobile technologies.

Upon the completion of the program, I got a job at TATA MARCOPOLO, Belur, where I earn a monthly salary of Rs. 11,000. Not only has it solved my financial problems, it has helped me earn the respect of my family and community. My family is really happy about the whole thing as it has literally changed my life. I personally am enjoying my job at TATA MARCOPOLO immensely. I thank John Deere and ISAP from the bottom of my heart!”
